About the Strawberry Festival
The Stouffville Strawberry Festival is an entrance free traditional community fair on the Canada Day weekend celebrating our strong rural agriculture; where neighbours, family and visitors are invited to enter into competitions and games; enjoy the food and entertainment with a friendly hometown atmosphere.

Mayor's Message

On behalf of Members of Council, I welcome you to the Strawberry Festival website.

Thursday, July 1st, marks the opening ceremonies and Canada Day celebrations which I am sure you will not want to miss. It is going to be a fun-filled day of special events including games, competitions, food and lots of entertainment for adults and children, the day ending with a spectacular fireworks display!

This annual event is the highlight of our summer, and as Stouffville is but a short drive from anywhere within the G.T.A., it offers a perfect outing for the whole family.  Our Main Street is closed to vehicular traffic providing you with an opportunity to visit the many vendors all inviting you to buy locally made crafts, baked goods and, of course, to eat lots of strawberries! I urge you to visit the stores and restaurants on Main Street where you will receive a warm welcome, following which you can meander to the amusement park for the children’s enjoyment!

Our sincere thanks to the Strawberry Festival Committee and the many volunteers dedicated to ensuring the success of this annual event.

Thank you for visiting our website; however, it would be my pleasure to welcome you in person! If you want to experience small town Ontario at its best, I urge you to visit the Whitchurch-Stouffville Strawberry Festival!

Wayne Emmerson,
Mayor.

Chair's Message

Welcome to the Strawberry Festival! We have put together a program this year that will offer 3 ˝ full days of entertainment for young and old alike. Whether this is your first visit or you have been coming for the last 25 years, we hope that you will find lots of fun, much to tickle your tastebuds, and the best shopping around.

This year we have plans for many new activities – like an Inflatables Zone, an Open Mic, and an Eco Day. Of course the traditional favourites will be there, including the Main Street Crafters on Saturday July 3rd, the People’s Parade (moved to July 1st), and a wide variety of competitions and childrens’ activities. As these events are confirmed they will be added to our website.

The Festival is supported by the Trillium Foundation, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, and the generous sponsorship of many corporations and local merchants.

The Festival also relies on an event coordinator and many volunteers to plan activities and staff them during the Festival. Without the sponsors and the volunteers, the Strawberry Festival could not be the fabulous community event that it has become over the years.

Thank you to all that have made the 2010 Festival possible and welcome to all who will enjoy the Festival this year. It is an honour to be a part in the Strawberry Festival.
